First ESSE

Just got my first ESSE. After much research ( thanks to those on this forum ) I went with the five. I couldnt be happier. I was looking for a "If I were Tarzan, and needed just ONE knife that could handle any situation, and not let me down, this is it" knife. I believe Ive found it. She looks damn good too.

great pick, i have one myself..you will never lack the confidence to do anything with this blade!!
and its esee not esse;)
 
I hope the ESSE handles are more comfortable than the ESEE ones. I gave away mine because of the handles.
 
Apparently, I'd not had enough coffee before posting and I was in mid unboxing excitement - ESEE!! ESEE! ESEE! ESEE!

It a factory sheath with leather drop loop back from TKC. Added a random pouch.
 
How do the Knife Connection's G10 aftermarket scales feel compared to the factory ones?
 
I think if I were doing the "Tarzan thing" of which you speak it would be the ESEE-6...but that's a great choice right there nonetheless. I have both.
 
The G10's are slightly slicker. Not much, just enough to notice. They are also ever so slightly fatter in the palm area, which seems to fit my hand better. All in all, Im pleased.
 
I bought the ESEE 6 and absolutely love it, the kydex- ? Sheath is great too. Very easy to put some 550 cord through the side holes and secure it to my backpack.
