I had posted in the general forum simultaneously griping about sheaths and trying to explain how awesome I thought the actual knife was, and was told to come show it off a bit. I haven't done anything but strip it down and begin to re-profile the edge, which I have to say is awesomely thin compared to the thickness of the spine. I had originally bought an Izula II to fill this smaller knife role, but the edge seemed a little too thick to be slicey. Currently I'm checking out Skystorm and BG for possible leather sheaths, while looking at Godspeed for kydex, which I will probably end up with. I found some exotic wood handles on eBay which I will probably buy, but do you guys have information on micarta handles? I've heard Saint Cutlery and Tomars mentioned, but Saint's eBay store had no tweener handles, and Tomars seemed to only have the larger handles. Do they fit the smaller knives? Anyway, here's some pics for ya.

Took them kinda spur of the moment in the middle of the night. Will post more as I get new handles and get some chances to make better use of the blade.

if the wood scales u mentioned are from TommyTheWho's shop..they are top of the line. he's a member here, makes nice scales.

Sky is also a master of the moo-pants!

also, welcome to the Becker subforum. And the 16 is indeed a heck of a knife! Glad u found us...hang around awhile, it gets weird in here LOL

Welcome to the Becker forum! The 16 is an awesome knife, I find it a little thin in the grip myself, but some liners should fix that up. TommyTheWho and Jim62 both make exotic wood scales (there's a good chance what you see on flea-bay is actually theirs), you could probably shoot em an email directly. As far as micarta, I've only recently found out about Saint Cutlery myself, but they do look appealing.

Or you could always make your own...from pre-made micarta slabs, or even make the micarta yourself.

I prefer to make my own, I just cant justify paying 40 bucks for 2 little bits of micarta.

Welcome, Remy.

Glad to see you made it over.

nice. yeh tommythewho makes good stuff. Tomars is a kabar dealer and will only have shorts micarta when kabar puts them out, which doesnt seem to be in the foreseeable future, but they are busy as heck up in Olean so its whatever. Saints does make them, email him and he will hook you up. Looks good man. here are my tommythewho short scales

nice sig moose!

I like yours!

I also like your BK15. That has been grabbing my attention more and more...especially those TTW scales. It's going to be a tough choice...get back to getting the big stuff, or another tweener. BeTWEEN the 16 and the MkI, I'm pretty good on that sized knife. It's going to be a three way coin toss between the 15, 9(2nd), and the 4.

You have no idea how many emails I answer per week about how to do it. And since that thread usually is way hidden and I gotta dig to link it, I wanted to make a short cut. Easier on me.

I have that thread subscribed so I can link it easier when people ask me....I didnt even make the dang thread and I still get numerous PMs and Emails asking how I did my knives! lol

Either the BK-16 or BK-17 will be the next knife I purchase. I like the look of the 16 better but functionally the clip point is really what I'm needing.
