I was actually standing in my garage listening to some Pennywise, doing my best poser knife maker impersonation when the mail man beat on the garage door. I knew if was my Bushfinger!

As soon as I held it in my hand I knew I had a new favorite knife. I haven't had an opportunity to take it out and get it broke in properly, but I did want to throw up some pictures before I left for baseball practice. Mostly to make chainring jealous.

Andy, you are one special knife maker. Not only have you created a style all your own, but your knives feel as good as they look. I'm proud to call this one my own.

Beautiful handle! My first bushfinger is in the mail... can't wait to see if it is my favorite too. I agree with your statement about Andy!

What type of wood is that?

Welcome to FA - Fiddleback-aholics. Here you have a group of peers who won't judge you but will listen, AND BE JEALOUS OVER YOUR BUSHFINGER! Wow, you got a beautiful one! Enjoy and post up some more pics when you get to use it.
Fiddleback rules!

Hey, wait, wachya workin on there? That's a not-so-subtle shot of a WIP in with your Bushfinger. Looks good

That Bushfinger is beautiful! I love the design. For a moment at Blade I contemplated trying to sell mine and get the one with the burlap handle and black bolsters...but that didn't last long because mine fits my hand perfectly, I've developed a "relationship" with it, and i think since it is the very first one I should probably just hang on to it. You are going to enjoy the knife though, it's a fantastic design.

That is one fine knife...I like the story of how you acquired it....are there three liners stacked up?

Yes. Three liners! Really glad you're happy with it bro. Post pictures of your work here whenever you'd like.

Happy with it doesn't even come close to describing my feelings towards your work. I don't think I have the vocabulary to accurately describe how I feel about this knife. The knife disappears in your hand. That was the first thing that jumped out at me when I pulled it from the sheath. The ergonomics and the balance are unlike anything I've held before. It really does feel like you're holding something less substantial than you are.

The next thing jumped out was the fit and finish. I've told you before that I think you're style is a game changer in the industry. It doesn't matter if it's wood or micarta, you instantly know when you're looking at a Fiddleback knife. But no matter how much I went over the knife, I couldn't find one flaw, one edge that wasn't completely flush, one spec of epoxy. It's honestly perfect.

I know I sound like I have a man crush going on, and that might actually be true, but there has only been one other time when I was this awe struck by receiving a knife. I can't wait to take this thing out and put it to work. As beautiful as it is, this thing is screaming to be used and abused.

I appreciate you letting me post some pictures here of what I'm doing. I might actually take you up on that from time to time as I could use a little mentoring. I'm doing it all by trial and error at this point. That knife above is only the 5th knife I've attempted, but it's the very first time I ever freehanded a grind on the Craftsman grinder.

I'll help you learn however I can. I'm glad you like the knife. AND I'm glad its screaming for use too. I don't want my knives sitting in safes.

Welcome to the club, I have a decent vocabulary and i still can't quite get there.

Spent the weekend up at our river property and had an opportunity to put the Bushfinger to use. Made quite a few fizzsticks and a couple of snare traps just for fun. Love the knife. I'm going to need to invest in a horizontal sheath. I just don't like vertical carry, but that is my ONLY complaint. This knife was used the entire weekend from wood, to some inter-tubes, to food and is still sharp.

The chicka and the chicken look nice! Oh and the knife too. :D. Cold enough up there for a boggan and long sleeves, in JUNE!! Looks like a good time.

Nice knife. I can't for the life of me remember where Bothell is. Born and raised in central WA and should know that.
