Just finished this up for a customer, first grate I've made before.

He wanted a fairly simple fire grate, but still not your average hardware store grate.

This is what I came up with...

5/8" square steel, I upset and flared the ends, fullered the legs, and chiseled a simple decoration on the cross bars.

Approx 32" x 13"

The whole thing is tig welded together; I wanted to drill holes in all the joints and use forged rivets, but that would have taken a lot more time, and the customer didn't want to pay for that extra touch.

Nope, still not up. If your seeing it on your computer it's probably in the cache memory, maybe, I'm out of date on computers

Shows up fine to me?

Will, didn't you get the memo on the secret handshake needed to view things in ATG?

Nice work, I agree, it'd look cool with forged rivets, but it looks good in any event.

That is just "Slicker-than-Snot". Outstanding job my good man. Wish I had the skills to do something like that.

Very nice work and quite effective. While restrained, it captures the hand forged look well. Bravo.
