Hey guys, I'm looking to get my first fixed blade. I've had my fair share of folders, but never any quality fixed blades. Use of the knife might be as an EDC, or for camping trips, or even just to have one. I think I'd want under a 4" blade for sure. I have about $125 tops to spend. The Esee Izula has caught my eye, even with the kit its only around $75 and comes with a lot of stuff. I also somewhat like the DPx Hest. What do you guys think I should get?

Both of the options you listed are excellent knives, if your looking for something along that line you might wanna check out the Kabar BK 11 or the BK 14 they are both below 40$ and you get some custom scales and even a custom sheath for under your budget. Just my two cents....

ESEE 3 for 90!!!! Twenty dollars and you get micarta slabs, a nice sheath with a belt clip or molle staps.

Am i allowed to say where he can get it... hint NG

I thought the ESEE 3 came with mica slabs? Is it feasible to EDC? And last of course what's NG? If you can't say it here email me :D

I just got my first fixed blade and I thought long and hard about witch one to get and the ESEE 4 won. I can't wait to try it out in a camping trip coming up. I like it I like a lot.

A Boker-Plus Tom Krein model that would be nice would be the PSK model. It has a 3.0" blade of 12C27 Swedish steel with a kydex sheath. Handle is 3.5" in length. Can be had for $70 or less.
