So, I'm sitting in my shop one day and evil Dan says, "Hey Dan, let's make a folder!"
Good Dan listens to that other fellow too often. After about a bazillion manhours, I finally got it to the point it was ready for a fitup. Still a long way to go with many more fitups. Making folders sucks.

Lol!! Looks good though! I've contemplated making a folder, but I usually only get about that far...

Maybe a fraction folder at some point, but more than that is too much for me!

It looks really good! What still needs to be done int terms of more fitups?

Refining fitment and finish of all parts, spring adjustments and polishing to make it buttery-smooth to operate, making sure the blade is well centered, etc etc. Really only about 25-30 percent complete right now.

IF I ever made a folder and it looked that good at ANY stage I'd be tickled to death!

I love making slipjoint folders. It was a challenge to get started.

Making fixed blades is like taking a vacation in comparison LOL

I showed Bill Rupple my last slipjoint and he was impressed and said I had a good future in making them :)

Keep working on them, you will find your groove.
