I finally got all my orders caught up, so I had some free time to make something I've been thinking of for a while.
OAL- 73/4" W/ 3 1/4" blade. 1080 & 15n20 damascus blade, 1084 & 4600 powder stars and liberty bell bolsters, and presentation grade Ironwood, the file worked back spacer is plain 1080. Titanium liner.

What do you all think? Thanks for lookin.

Bill

That is sweet. Very very nice.

I'm still amazed at what you guys can do with damascus.

I think it's stunning Bill. I also think you have too much time on your hands. :footinmou Is the Bell, Etc, etched or stippled or engraved?

getting red Xs, but I'm gonna hit refreshs until I see em. I know it's going to be too good to what for.

Don, the bell and stars are mosaic cookie-cutter tiles. I'd bet the stars are a 4x4 composite stack to begin with.

Mr. B, you did way good again. Nice start to the new year! How's that puppy doing?

Thank you for the nice comments everyone..
Don, as Fitz stated, the stars and bell are made in a can. they are continuous through the bar.
Michael, let me know if there's still a problem with the pictures showing, yahoo might be having problems or something.
Fitz, Gus is chewing us up, I forgot just how big of a PITA a puppy can be.

Bill that is one Beautiful knife. I love the way the blade and bolsters pull the theme together. A wonderful overall package. Great job!

jeez Bill, amazing.
Do you mind if I ask how much you're gonna ask for that one,? (Actually, the wife wants to know)

If I wanted to learn this type of forging would the classes given in Arkansas at the ????? bladesmith school be the place to go? Think it is the Moran school or ???

I see it now, and it was worth the wait. That is absolutely gorgeous.

Thanks so much everyone, your comments truly mean a lot.
John L, you bet those folks down there can teach you. I'd like to get down there and take a class or 2 myself.
Tony, if you'll send me an e-mail at camper@yhti.net I'll give you more info. Shoptalk isn't the place to discuss prices.

Thanks again

Bill

I think it sucks that it isn't mine...
Really nice thinking, with the flags stripes in the blade next to the field of stars.
