Well, after taking a break from this project I got back at it today and pretty much finished this one up. It's a simple design and there is lots that I'll change on the next one including lock geometry overall shape, etc, but overall it was a pretty satisfying project working on my first folder. I almost had the pocket clip installed today but I broke a tap and will have to wait for some new ones from Enco. The detent also needs some tuning up, but I'm learning. I am happy though that when in the open position I have zero blade play in any direction. That was one of my big fears going into this. Anyway, stay tuned in the future for more models:D

Here are some pics of how it sits now

Thanks for looking!

David,no tubing for this lanyard hole. To be honest it was an afterthought. If you've seen earlier pictures of when this proto first started to take shape, the lanyard hole was actually where the second screw was originally. At the very end, I had a mishap with the drill press and I ruined the countersink on the slab for the screw, so I drilled it out to 3/16 for a lanyard hole and added a new second screw postion at the butt of the knife, which I think makes for stronger construction anyway.

Right on Jonny! Jumped right into a Flipper too. Looks good I like the lines and the Wharnie style blade.
