This is my first liner lock. I post pictures of it on another site for some feedback. And I change the washers to .010" instead of .020". Also took the black off the clip and rounded the handles more. It has a better feel now. This is the first time I used G10. I like it, I sanded it to 400 grit then buff it. Any comments would be welcome good or Bad. I'm still working on my photo skills.

It dosen't show but the blade is center between the liners. Thanks for looking.

RDF, Nice work, and lots of work, too. Nice proportion, and it looks like it would have a real satin feel in the hand.

Looks real nice. The work looks clean and even and the handle looks comfortable. I like it.

Wow!!!

What a clean knife. The lines are great!!!

I would think this style knife would be a huge seller.....

Ricky,

This knife appeals to me more than any folder I've seen in some time.
As others have mentioned; "clean" is a very adept description. Well done.

That is some shop you have and a very nice web site., says a lot.

Regards,
Greg

Thanks for the comments

The knife will be one that I will be starting to make for sale. I going to lengthen it a 1/8" so the overall length will be 7" with the blade being 3" (measured from handle to tip) Now I'm having a hard time figureing out what to ask as a selling price, I don't what to be to cheap, people will something is wrong with it, or to high since I'm not a big name maker.

It looks like a 'user' rather than a sitting pretty knife, which may apeal to a greater audience.

What material is the blade made from. MHO is to up the blade material quality and sell it on its 'toughness' This way you may be able to get a little more for it, compared to say 440c. Agian, IMHO I would put a couple of serrations on it too (but not too much) to add to the custom workhorse appeal.

Anyway you slice it (Pun intended :D ) its a damned fine knife, and more so since its the first of a long line.

As for price (LOL I noticed how no one else jumpe in) $150-75 if it has a more exotic blade material. Although I dont know what the raw material costs would be as a % compared to 440c for example.

Very nice work indeed. I like the rounded profile better than what I imagine would have been before doing that. That was a good move. You liner lock guys are really something.

The steel is ATS-34, RC59-60 with .050"Titanium liners I did use a staniless pocket clip. What is the feelings on buffing the handle instead of bead blasting, which would you like? What is considered the standard size handle, 4"? This is also my first blade that I heat treated. I made this for me to test out, that's why it's left handed. I tried to make a knife that could be a everday carry knife. With all the postive feedbacks this will a pattern that I will make. Now I need to get to making some more along with my hunting knives.

I think that is a good hardness for that steel as a blade. 59 Hrc in ATS-34 may be my favorite in a cutting blade of ATS-34. Maybe 59.5.

Wow I just saw the link and took a look around, nice shop! I like the dust extractors. :D

I also think this pic of the folder (Ref Num: 1318) does it more justice, and so earns it a price increase from the $175 I though it was worth (based on the picture only) to $220+

I hope you wern't offended before, I just based the price I would be willing to pay for the top pic in 440c. I later learned its ATS34 :footinmou

Oh well, brain in gear before mouth in motion

Temper

I weren't offended at all. I post here to get some opinons.I had been thinking of between $100.00-to-$200.00 but wanted to get some ideals first before setting a price . I,m going to let a couple of local makers, one of then being John W. Smith, to check my work and see what they think. John gave me some help on the screws, bits, and stuff I needed to get started.
