Hello to all. After over 16 years and about 1700 fixed blades this is my first attempt at a folding knife. I did it from Bob Terzuola's (The Tactical Folding Knife) Some may see the influence by the shape of the bolsters. I did get some helpful tips over the phone from some other makers as well so many thanks to them also. It is not quite finished and this design was just to figure out the mechanics so I will be changing the design to look more original for the next one. I will keep this one to have something to compare the next to. Just wanted to show it and maybe get some comments if possible. I used the IKBS system and am very happy with the smoothness. I think I got a little lucky with how well this turned out. The lock up is pefect and has zero play in any direction. Had a ton of fun with it and cant wait to do another. Love that book. Thanks for looking Alan

Wow Alan, it turned out great, nice blade shape, and design. I think you nailed it,eliot

That's a very, very nice knife. What are the handles made from? What is the length closed?

Congratulations!

The materials are G10. The blade length is 3.5 to the middle of the bolsters and closed length is 4.625.

Thanks guys for your comments. Alan

Looks very good, there are a few things from the pictures I would change, but that can be easily just edited with either a screw or a file. Very good for your first folder, I am still stuck on fixed blades and will be for awhile, but happily as well.

Very impressive! Looks great to me!

Just starting into knife making with fixed blades, but you have just achieved my eventual goal.
