first forged blade

Hi... I've been making stock removal knives for last 5 months and have recently moved on to forging. I just got back from a hammer-in (Smokey Mountain) and came home and put all my new knowlege to use...

7" OAL, 5160, whitetail antler shed scales, black spacers, poorly peened brass pins...

I ended up leaving it pretty heavy and thick to preserve my hammer marks. So it almost a chopper now!

Nothing wrong with that! Looks like you've got a nice thin, sharp edge on it and that's what counts to my notion.
