first forged blade

here are a couple snap shots of my first forged knife, its from an old coil car spring. I was experimenting with different finishes for a working knife and i kinda like this, what do you think?

Very well done.
I'm assuming it's your first forged piece however not your
first knife period?

the shaping is nice and shows some definite hammer control.

personally i would either leave the force patina off or try to make it less symmetrical. as it is I find it distracting more than anything.
