I know it seems a little late in the year for first blades, but sadly its true. With medical issues keeping me busy and finding time for the family, my shop time has suffered.

I am back full time now and looking forward to working some steel this winter. Enjoy your time in the shop as well.

These are both made from 300 layer damascus billets, the hunter was forged by my good friend Burton Harruff the other is a clip point that has been forged in a ladder pattern.

Good for you Fred, I know what it is like to kept from the passion of knife making. I had a 3 year hiatus due to double knee replacement and building a new shop. Sure felt good to get back at what I was meant to do.
God Bless!

Very nice blades Fred. I too would like to see em when fiinished. Please post.

Looking good Fred. Both turned out very nice. Nice to see that blade cleaned up and etched out. I traded Fred the forged damascus blade for a compound bow. -Burton

Fred, I'm so glad that you are back at it. I have been in a little "funk" lately myself due to family and other obligations.

Love your work....... Keep it up.

Robert

I like that bottom one with the wild looking damascus!
