Not too bad. :p

Actually, I like it. I think I'd like it better with something other than a wrapped handle, but it's nice just the same.

Hey Guys..

Keith..
Coming from you,, I take that as a Major compliment !! :)

There are so many things to learn with this I can only concentrate on one thing at a time..
Once I get good at the blade part,, I'll move to , stick tangs, handles, and sheaths..

Right now I'm just happy as Pie to be able to produce something of this quality..It's only a matter of time..
I've got an Excellent teacher, I couldn't be more happy...

Thanks Keith..

eh; what does he know -- wrap everything!! :D It looks like a very useful blade and I love the forged look. :)

Eric, that is super nice man. Great job. I love the shape and everything.

Nice sheath! :D

Seriously, I'd be proud to use the hell out of a knife like that!

Eric,

Your enthusiasm for and commitment to knife making comes through loud and clear. That's great! Not only did you get a knife forged, you've started a line with a camper model. Aim high, be grateful for where you're at, and keep at it. Sounds good to me. Thanks for sharing.

Hey Guys...

Thanks for the encouragement...

It's very satisfying making a knife this way.

Heres a couple of tests I did on the knife last night..Albeit I was a little tired, the 2X4 took a few more hacks to get through..No edge damage what so ever.

Standard pressure treated 2X4

Knife still shaved hair after chopping the 2X4 in half twice..
Edge wasn't hair popping sharp, but did shave...

I'm pretty convinced on the performance abilities of carbon steel now....

Thanks for your time

Hey Guys...

LF...

you know something??

for a knifemaker, your sheaths look really swell!!

LOL

Thanks...
Only problem is now, I have to learn to make leather sheaths... That is an art in itself...

Will...

Hmmm hard to tell by looking at that knife that you were taught by Wally Hayes :p

Great job!

Thank you...
I'll tell you, I can't express enough how absolutely fortunate I'am that Wally agreed to teach me. He's a Very good teacher, and aside from the ribbing I get he's one of the most Genuine and patient people I know.
