Hey guys, just wanted to post a few pics of my first forged knife and see what you think. I forged it from an old file, I can't remember what kind, but I do remember it was USA made. It's about 3/16" thick at the spine, 14 3/4" overall and 9" along the cutting edge. I used 3/16" brass for the guard and buttcap, and a piece of stabilized deer antler for the handle

Comments, suggestions? It does show a lot of hammer marks, but sure does cut very well

Thanks guys!

shes a beaut Luke. the blade I picked up in a trade with you here locally for the case xx stiletto has barely left my side since i got it.love it and constantly have to pull it out and show it off. my buddies are constantly getting me to hand it over for a look and fondle. she's a hell of a cutter. been thinking about picking up that loveday from you,but it wouldn't see much belt time now that I've gotten so attached to my Luke custom. I've got some nice folders I'm about to put up for sale,if they move I'll give you an email about the Loveday and see if it's still available, would still like to have that one in the collection. Thanks again and great job! Rick
