Just received this wonderful #23 with cocobolo covers. Not much to say that hasn't been said about G.E.C., so I'll let the pics do the talking...

With its not-so-traditional brother. They're fighting for pocket time today...

I figured I should get some glamour shots of it before the patina starts. While not a traditional kinda guy, I get it now; the appeal, the timelessness, the near-custom fit and finish. Frankly, it's been a while since I've felt as though I've gotten more than my money's worth on something. This beauty did the trick.

It won't be my last, as now that I've had the first taste of blood, I'm obliged to try another smaller, more pocketable model. This one will be riding in a custom sheath soon.

Thanks for stopping in!

You might want to go ahead and start a separate bank account now.... :D

Now you need a smaller GEC (Pemberton, Esquire, 22 Magnum) for watch pocket carry. :)

Nice looking knife.

Congrats on the GEC and great pictures.

They really do make a great knife, they look so good you have to get passed the guilt factor to use them as a work knife. :D

For a production knife they're simply outstanding. There's never a moment where a GEC isn't in my pocket or within arm's reach. I've had nothing but good experiences with GECs and have been very impressed with them. The variety of models, covers, blade configurations, etc is so much fun.

These old classics have soul to them, something not all knives have. Over time they develop their own character and personality with time and use.

Glad you're happy with it!

Thanks a bunch, guys. It truly is a nice piece. Already thinking of which one I want next. :)

Woah! Awesome choice my dude. My first GEC is also inbound (tomorrow!) and I chose a #56 with cocobolo covers and a matching cloud shield! Cool to see man, congrats!

Nice, man! I was just looking at those at KnivesShipFree. Versatile and handy looking pattern with the hawkbill!

A great #23 you got there :)

Oh... Don´t worry about the "little" Benchmade - nice knife BTW.

A good knife doesn´t depend on its size in any way.
