First gen 0550 lockface?

Are the first gen 0550's lock faces carbidized?

I know the second gens appear to be and the 056X series are, but did they do it on the first gens?

Wait, really? There carbidized? Always thought it was plain. Are the 0300's carbidized too?

The 030X aren't I believe, BUT they are DLC'ed and it holds up amazingly well to use and wear.
