I recently made a Hudson Bay camp knife and used ferric acid to darken the blade. I really liked the way it turned out so I took one of my hunting knives I made almost 2 years ago and dipped it in the ferric acid to darken it since it was stained anyway from use. I forgot that this knife was one I edge quenched. Low and behold out came a cool hamon. Thought I'd share a pic.

Hi Scott,

I like the way the hamon follows the spines profile.

I like to revisit earlier work I've done so I can see how I have progressed.

Looking good, Fred

Can't put it into words, just love to see your knives. All of them just have that I want to own that one all over them.
