Here are a few pics of the first decent scales I made. Ironwood on a demascus blade I bought. Wish I could take credit for the steel, but I can't. Maybe someday. But Im happy with the finished result. I kept the scales thick for a good grip. Have a look.

The knife looks great. Did you get the blade already shapped like that are did you for make it from flat stock?
 
No, I bought the blade from Texas Knifemaker's Supply. The next natural step in the progression will be to make/shape a blade.
 
That's F'ng gorgeous! What kind of sheath are you going to pair with it?

I'm not sure what kind of sheath im going to make. I do know it will be leather. I never made one before, but I looking forward to giving it a shot. I'm leaning towards a simple pouch style. I think that would be easiest for a beginner.

I'm sure that if it's half as good as the handle you''ll have made a keeper.
