I acquired a knife at a blackpowder shoot in 1999 that another shooter had won as a blanket prize. He didn't want it because it required a handle, so I traded him for it. It sat on my workbench for awhile - make that quite awhile - I finally put a handle on it this weekend.
It was an experience filled with "learning opportunities," but I managed to get it together without ruining the slabs, so I'm calling this a victory.
