first handmade knives

These are my first 3 knives made out of horseshoeing rasps.. since I'm a horse shoer I have plenty of old rasps.. all though they have some spring to them and some what hold an edge I'm not convinced I hardened and tempered them very well.. I'm a beginner to knife making(-: opinions appreciated

Cool, let me know how the temper and heat treating turn out on your bowie

I actually didn't want to deal with tempering it so I left the initial temper in it and just work slowly constantly cooling the knife donut would keep the temper

That will probably work.. all though I can barely drill holes through the rasps for the handles after I've annealed them so u will probably go through a few drill bits(-:

Haha yep went through alot! I'll try to post pics tonight cuz it's done besides the relief edge
