First HI

I got my first HI today.:thumbup::thumbup: It's an M43 by Murali (I think). Not what I originally ordered, but I think the Khuk gods were looking out for me. I've never held a knife that felt like this one does. It's like it was made especially for me. I originally ordered a 25" Kobra, but they were out of stock. Yangdu offered a Chitlangi of the same size instead, and I almost jumped on it, but on a whim asked if she could send an M43 instead. I couldn't be happier. I think I've got terminal HIKV now. I'm gonna go out tomorrow and chop some firewood and attack some defenseless fallen trees behind my dad's horse pasture. I'll post pics of the devastation in the picture thread.

Old hands here say the Foxy Folly is the ideal Khukuri in 17inch 24ounce form. Having recently purchased a used FF made by Sher I can only agree!

The M43 is a great chopper. Heavy enough to hit hard, but not so heavy as to wear you out.

Congrats on the M43. When I have spending money again, thats the Khukuri I'm going to buy. Had one years ago that was really nice. Wish I could have afforded to keep it.
