First HI

I got my first HI off the exchange, and it arrived today. Its a Sgt Khadka Bonecutter, this thing is a beast! 1/2" thick at the spine and about 18.5" overall.

The handle has been modified, and I do not know what an unmodified handle would feel like but this one is very comfortable, good grip for swinging a heavy chopper.

When it gets warmer here I am gonna take it out and chop up some stuff, I cant wait. I just wanted to make a post here to say I am impressed with the Khukri,

The edge looks great for chopping but I would like it to be a little bit sharper, how do you sharpen along the concave curve of the blade?

sweeet!! I am going to have to get one of those before summer gets here. I've got pretty good sized hands, what special order did you do for your handle?. If ya don't mind, what was the $$ on it?

Well I have medium sized hands, I wear size Large gloves.

No special order, it was modified by the previous owner here on bladeforums. I have to say it fits my hand very well and I would say it would be a good fit for a larger hand too, not giant hands though.

I paid around $160 shipped.

I took a swing at some firewood and this bad boy bites deep! I could only imagine what damage it would do to a downed tree or some stray limbs that need to come off.
