Finally got some OK weather to go out to Chattahoochee Bend state park and have a nice lunch by a lookout tower that's only about a mile down the trail but it's a nice hike to get there.

On the way we pass through downtown and saw an old pimp selling fake roses?

I was sporting the 15 with wood scales I made from the house my father grew up in. (roughly 75 y/o hardwood) Also a Flemming Lycosa with moonglow and purple/black g-mascus.
I am trying my hand at mushroom foraging so taking pics of them so I can identify later. Don't want to just start wolfing them down until I'm comfy with ID.
In case you can't tell, I was going for holes and sunwash pics. Only have an IPhone for pics so really just experimenting.
Feel free to chime in if you can ID the shrooms.
Lunch was sammiches, chips, and some hot coco via the Jetboil.
Pack was a Mystery Ranch 3-day assault.

Thank you. That was me wafting cigar smoke next to it. Though it would look cool and it did turn out to be a pretty cool picture.
I love getting out in the woods and I am glad that I have a family that enjoys it as much as I do.

The first looks like old dried up oyster mushrooms and the second is Chantrels. All edible and delicious. Wouldn't eat them that old but if fresh. Always consult a local who knows his stuff before eating anything your unsure of.
 
Great pics thanks for sharing. Can't wait for the snow to melt so I can get some dirt time with the fam.

Beautiful grain on those scales (and a cool backstory) too.
 
Great pics, tank. Love this kinda stuff. Plus, by getting the whole family to carry their own steel, you get to have a bunch of different knives to play with.....and you don't look as silly as you might carrying 6 knives yourself.

'Course, if you're a ninja, you can carry as many as you want - no one's gonna give you grief if you're a ninja.

Thank you all for looking. Found a semi-local mushroom group. Might try and make it up there for a meeting. I'd hate to have my last words as my kidneys fail to be "but the picture on the internet........................
That 14 is the one you gave him two Blade shows ago. He absolutely loves it and yes he is getting big.
Going to try and make the gathering so might see you all before Blade.
