The snow melted enough to take a little hike on Tuesday. Went up Bear Mountain. Nobody else was out and it was great to get some alone time.

Thanks for looking. Can't wait to get out and do more.

Nice pix brother! Where is Bear Mtn, it looks awesome :D and what kind of grips are on the 9 and 2?
thanks,
SJ24

Bear Mountain is in Peters Creek, AK. About 20 miles north of Anchorage. Peak is probably about 3500-3700 feet, elevation gain of about 2000 feet in about a mile and a half or so. Stock grips on the 2 and 9, but stippled using a soldering iron, and I hit the 9 with a Dremel for some grooviness before stippling.

It was a lot of fun. Perfect weather and I got a chance to test my Coghlan's emergency stove on Ramen for lunch at the top.

very cool. thanks for sharing. looks nice and cold. i live in fl... we dont get to be cold too often. nice lineup of Beckers too

It was 45-50 degrees, just right for an uphill hike. And I think my lineup is about perfect, minus a 15 I still need to get. I was laughing at myself on the trip down, though, realizing I had six knives and two guns on me. A little overkill, but I had to take all the Beckers for a family pic, and the bears are coming out of hibernation, and they're hungry.

Beautiful scenery. I think it's so funny we all carry all that steel uphill just to take its picture. I do it too !! Great day.

Thanks for the looks, all. I have some free time between a meeting and work tomorrow, so I'm going out again.
