Got my BK11 in the mail about a week ago, but haven’t gotten the chance to use it before today because of exams and generally shit weather. But when I woke today the sun was shining and it was time to breathe mountain air again :)

I didn't get to use it a lot but so far I really like it. It came a little dull, so I'll have to sharpen it and get a custom sheath. Looking forward to using it a lot next week

As for the Cold Steel Secret Edge that’s also featured in the pictures, I really like it as well. It may not be quite as good at the same tasks, but I think it will be great for food prep :) And it came sharp and has a great sheath.

Looks like a good time, it's always nice to get out to the out of doors every once and a while.
How do you like the scales on your BK11?

The scales are pretty good. I haven't tried it with paracord or anything else. The only thing I didnt like was that the screws were in a size I didn't have so I ended up using the pliers on my leatherman squirt ps4. Seeing as they didnt fit perfectly the hole in the screw was rounded out and now I'm pretty sure I can never take them off without destroying them :(

very nice. i love my 11, its a solid little knife. looks like a nice day out. thanks for sharing

I had a pretty hard Time finding wench too. Good thing I have a pretty large "collection" of allen wrenches. As far as takeing them off if you ever have to You could try to drill out the head.

P.S. stop complaining about the damn sheaths allready!

Just can't help it :p Sometimes I actually wish cold steel would start a custom sheath making business were we could order custom sheaths for our knives. It's clearly what they're best at anyway
