And I say first because I can see where this is headed.

Picked up a 3" Wharncliffe. So far very impressed. I'm glad I went with this over some other choices. The blade may be a hair off center, but not enough to make me jump to straighten it. If it bothers me I will.

Very nice! Some folks are anal about blade centering. Don't be one of them. Enjoy!
Just noticed your name, and you probably don't yet realize how fitting it is...

awesome, I have the 3.5 wharnie and think your 3 inch version is going to be perfection. You'll love it.

Congrats - definitely a fantastic knife. Hasn't left my pocket since I got mine a few weeks ago.

Man great hinderer and even your first! Wow great pic!

They are quite easy to customize, just check out the Hinderer website, and the blades are very easy to center. I got a 3 1/2 Wharnie in the cyber Monday sale, and have a 3 inch on the way that cost a bit more :-). I love the 3 1/2, great carry knife, and look forward to getting the 3". Welcome to our obsession!

I noticed you're selling it, and just wanted to tell you I did the same thing with a 3.5". Sold it and got an XM-24, and it was just right. With three sizes to choose from, there's one for just about everyone.
It's amazing how much of a difference it makes to move up 1/2" in blade length.

Indeed, Rick didn't just take 3 different lengths of blades and slap them into the same handle, he scaled everything appropriately and the result are three perfectly proportioned knives.

I hope you are right. I absolutely love the knife. It's just a hair small. I have really big hands. I'm trading it for a 3.5 and hope that fits better.

If you have really big hands, go for the XM-24. I have large hands and found the 3.5" to be too small, but the 4" is perfect. I love it so much I have both a slicer and a spanto, and am hoping they will make a production wharncliffe in the XM-24.
And an added benefit of the XM-24: It flips easier!

I think I'll be getting a 24 next.

I'm very happy with the 3.5" though. I just would like a 24 for timed I need more knife.

The 3" was never really an option, but I can see why some people like them. Even with larger hands. N

Update: 3.5" is the way to go I think. So far the size works better for me. And it flips better for me as well.

I still see the value of a 3", particularly for work carry due to weight.
