Hey there guys, I've been gifted an XM-18 3.5" Slicer and let me say it's amazing. Glad to finally join the club! I just love the way this knife feels in the hand and come the end of March I'm gonna use it to clean a few longbeards when I bag them, can't wait for deer season too! I mean this knife is easily gonna replace my fixed blade when it comes to working.

So it seems maintenance is pretty standard when it comes to the XM line. And according to the FAQ at the top of this forum, it's a Duratech 20v blade, which I'll be honest, I don't know anything about it, but it sounds cool. But I was hoping some of you eagle eyed guys might be able to tell me what color the scale is... I can't make up my mind on it being Marsh or OD...

That's quite a gift and congrats on your first XM.

I think the scale is marsh green but others need to chime in on this.

My first was/is the exact same in the 3" and the scale is indeed marsh green which is my favorite so far. Olive Drab is darker for sure. I'd like to give the much lauded Pond Scum a try but doesn't seem to be available in the 3" version. I noticed your lockside is blasted but the clip seems to be stonewashed....interesting. Hope you are enjoying the XM as much as I am.

Very nice. Love the Ti side. Next you'll be customizing it. Enjoy!

Looks marsh in your photo. OD can appear lighter in some pics too, but I'm leaning toward marsh.

Congrats on the first.

I love these posts. When people actually get their hands on an XM all questions regarding why owners are so dedicated are answered.
