Hey guys ,it was 1hr ago I got my first Hogue ,first Allen Elishewits Design .

My first feeling upon handling it and using it is that its well engineered-------------great balance , grow-on-my-hand grip ,perfect thumb rest plus odd yet unbelievable efficiency blade shape ,especially for a 4mm thickness .

The button lock is solid and no blade play either cloesd or open. It is a little sticky but quite smooth when you open it and offers a nice detent . Ez and quick one hand close .

I am a tip up sucker but the tip down clip on this knife pleased me much The surface where the clip touches the handle is at a right roughness so neither too tight nor loose .

Photos will show you the perfect finish (sadly the gring is still a bit uneven in the last photo , this is the only thing I may complain about .)

Also check out Allen's vedeo(https://www.youtube.com/user/AllenElishewitz) to know more about this genius wharncliff and feel free to ask any question (I found no review before I ordered this knife , so I have to ask Allen a lot about the design. He is a super nice guy !)

What a stunner... I absolutely love it.
Forgive my ignorance, but I thought a wharncliffe was defined by its straight cutting edge. That looks like a somewhat melted version of a Benchmade "reverse tanto" as designed by Warren Osborne.

What do those go for roughly? I'm guessing it's a matter of "if you have to ask..." :)

It is also what I asked Allen. The point is that if you ignore the belly or add a belly on Kershaw NeedsWork , it will make sence much .

I have Allen's detail explanation in my mail box but I dont know if I can quote it . Maybe you can watch the vedeo .

I just picked this Knife up yesterday and I'm excited about it. It's a bit large for my personal EDC uses but for it's size it's fairly light. . The fit and finish are perfect with strong lock up and no blade play. I picked up the all black version with the modified Wharny, but I plan on getting one with the blue g-mascus and the drop point blade. If only they offered one with no blade coating.... This is my first Hoque but I doubt it will be my last after experiencing the EX-04
