My mom and I ordered two of these as she also likes knives. Not like I do of course, but she appreciates good ones.
The knives are supposed to be a fixed blade neck knife version of Crawfords Falcon Folder which is also made by CRKT in a production version. Both knives came nice and sharp as I expect from CRKT. I have not used mine much yet, but I suspect it will perform like the rest of thier aus6 knives which is pretty good for the price range. They are 6" OAL with a cutting edge a little over 2", maybe 2.25 give or take. The handle is very comfortable with a nice secure grip. I think heavy cutting should be no problem at all.
The sheaths suck. The one pictured on thier site appears to be a nice kydex sheath. They do state that it comes with a zytel one which is ok since the F4, Plan B and KFF also have fairly nice sheaths as far as zytel ones go. These however are ugly, clunky and just plain cheap looking. Where the others seems to be somewhat smooth with a nice dull look to them, the Falcon sheaths are more textured and shiney...looks like a thin layer of melted tar or something. Also the sheath on one of them cracked at the mouth of the sheath the first time we pulled (wrestled) the knife out of it. My mom took that one since it did serve to make the knife easier to pull out of the sheath. She was not able to get the knife out of the other sheath. The sheaths have J-clips which snap on the sheath with a snap like you would find on a coat or something. Whoever came up with the crap oughta be...well nevermind. Anyways, using the j-clip for IWB carry is worthless. If you lean over or do anything to put side pressure on the knife and sheath, the clip un-snaps and the sheath is free to slide down your pants. I tried it getting in my car, walking around, bending over and such. It came un-snapped almost every time.
I think the knife itself is typical of CRKT in that you get a good looking and well done knife. However if you also want a decent sheath, you will need to have a kydex one made (probably cost as much as the knife) or skip this one all together. If you want it for an around-the-house or tool box knife then you should go ahead and get one.
