Now i know what all the fuss is about!! These knives ROCK!

My first Sebenza arrived this afternoon,,,and i swear i was the last stop for the UPS guy.Talk about anticipation,,,,i must have looked outside the door 15 times looking for this package. My first Sebenza is a large Classic CGG Freedom pattern in reverse silver contrast.

Now this is my first big dollar knife and after handling the Sebenza i have no buyers remorse whatsoever,,,these knives just ooze quality and i cant put this thing down!

I was on the fence between getting the large or the small but after spending some time with her im glad i got the large.Surprisingly because of the slim profile of this large Sebenza i feel that i can use it for EDC with no problem. The blade came hairsplitting sharp and the opening and closing action is just as smooth as everyone says.Im loving the distinct CLICK as the blade locks into place,,,,what a addicting sound and feel.Once locked the blade has no play whatsoever. The size in my hand feels just right, not too large and not too small. Its actually quite a bit lighter than i anticipated it to be.The pocket clip locks onto my jeans very tight and i cant ever imagine it coming out without me pulling it out of my pocket.I do have to get use to pushing the framelock over to release the blade back into the handle.Mine seems a bit stiff but its probaly me not being use to the tight tolerances of the Sebenza.

This Sebenza isnt going to leave my side for the forseeable future and shes definately going to get her share of work.I do believe these fine knives are meant to be workhorses as well as they are put together.

Beautiful knife man!!!!
Congrats and enjoy it. It will only get better with use and as this happens you will grow even more fond of it. The only issue you will come across is that you will want another. Trust me.

I got my first a little over a month ago. It is stiffer to press than a liner lock but I don't know if mine worked in or I just got used to giving a little more push but it's not even something I notice now.
I got a large and a small and can't decide which to carry. The small is easier to EDC because I carried a Spyderco Delica 3 for 11 yrs and then a D4 for a year. But the large just locks into the hand better for me.

Congrats on the new knife.

Be careful though, since Nov. I've picked up 8 of em. Just ordered the 8th one today on my lunch break.
I'm a lefty though so my options aren't as great. Kinda thankful I'm not right handed. :)

Wow 8 in 2 months has to be some kind of record, lol. My pockets aren't that deep but I certainly can see why you like the Sebenzas soo much.Do u happen to have a family pic of your new Sebenza family,,if so I'd luv to see them ; )

Perhaps I will try a small if I decide to order another or should I go the unique graffic route with a Damascus blade?

Congrats on your first Seb!

That one is a beauty!
I really enjoy the plain jane sebs, but this one has a very subtle contrast that just works great!

That's what I was thinking. I thought me getting 9 CRK's in two years was out of control.
You should get a small micarta. I LOVEEEEEE MINE!!!

Just got mine today....large 21 and i have probably opened and closed it 100 times and already used it on some bbq chicken out at the smoker. Broke it down, cleaned it, regreased it and assembly was fantastic. However i had to do the stack method of scale blade and then scale and tighten. The other way described by CR was difficult and got grease everywhere lol.

BIG congrats, Kdawg -- sweet Seb!

But heads-up, you can't have just one. So start thinking about the next one . . . the one that you "must" have!

Then post pix and repeat as necessary!

Very nice! I like the reverse silver contrast CGG. It's classy and will make a great user. That baby is a real keeper.;):D

Wow i believe ive been bitten by the Sebenza "BUG",,,,after handling this knife for less than 24 hrs i felt the need for a regular small Sebe so i promptly ordered one in CGG pattern Websight.I also ordered a Large 21 with damascus blade and unique graffics with the help of Charmaine from Chris Reeve's shop. She was very helpful and very patient with my order,,,,they obviously know how to take care of their customers.

You guys were right,,,,you cant have just one!

Cool -- now you're swimming in the deep end, my friend!

CRK does a great job with the graphics -- here are a couple of mine:

Can't wait to see pix of your new babies. . . .

Are those small Sebs or the large guys?I never thought I'd be spending this kind of $$ on knives but I never knew the quality and feel of a Sebenza.

Which scales do u prefer on your small Sebs the regular or the 21?

Hahahaha. That's so funny. Your dead man. The bank is coming after your house for default on your mortgage. It will continue.

I prefer the small 21 over my small regular. i find my small 21 much easier to deploy.

I'm not worried about the house it's just about paid for,,,I'm more worried about the old lady and the 12" frying pan I got her for Christmas!

There's another thread I posted pics of some of them. It was quick and a bad pic on New Years Eve. When the last one comes next week I'll get a pic taken with the whole family.

Being a Busse collector and user for years has numbed me to dropping cash on knives. I have over 150 Busse knives so....:D

Mine pictured are smalls. And I like the looks of the Regulars, but the feel of the Classics and 21's. So I buy both!!
