I have been handling my SMF for about a little more than 12 hours now and all I can say is that the knife is better than I expected. People always say Striders have a tendency to be rough and not smooth but mine seems to be smoother than my Para 1 and some other blades I have. Also the blade's spine is way thicker than I thought it would be, it is about the size of Emerson next to each other and I held the spine up to a friends Cold Steel SRK and it is that same size or bigger than the SRK's spine. Other than that the knife is well balances and it does not feel like 6 ounces plus. The only think that I can think of that didn't make me happy about it was that I got the tanto one and the front of the tanto was not even that sharp but I fixed that in an hour so other than that I am loving the knife. :D

Pics? I have a new SnG 3/4 grind tanto. The tanto edge has a smaller bevel, but was sharp enough to open packages (tip is nice & sharp too). I think that was there basic idea or design. The tanto edge can be usefull in scraping, and other misc. cutting. I will keep there bevel, and sharpen it as needed. I personally like it that way. Enjoy it & use it.

Strider makes a great knife.
That tip comes that way for rough use. You did it your way.

It never looked good in photos on dealers sites but when I saw some HD pictures and videos it just looked amazing, for sure I am going to get a stonewashed Strider next.
