Sorry for the delay! Well, I received my Cabelas exclusive Buck 110 Alaskan Guide. Very impressed! The knife has all the great features of the 110 yet offers a big upgrade in materials. The S30V blade is lightning sharp out of the box, and the black coating appears to be bonded to the steel like an ultra deep blueing on a fine revolver. I love the BOS S30V stamping and the Cabelas guide series emblem is well done. Lock up is tight, no blade play in any direction and it folds up with perfect centering. Im not sure if the scales are a different wood than the standard modern box store 110's but they are much more red or cherry in color than my other 110's. Overall this is a magnificent lock back and Im very happy with it. Even the sheath sppears to be much higher quality than my others. Have not figured out pics on this forum yet sorry. Thanks for looking!

Yep....those are extra nice 110's!!

I was in Cabela's in PA a few days ago and was very tempted to pick one up. I would have, but I had just got two stag AG's in Idaho a couple months ago.

I have been using those for my deer things since they came out. You will love it..

Yep those are sweet knives. I have a couple of stag ones and one goes on my belt usually in Oct and stays there until Feb. I've kicked around the idea of picking up a regular AG also. Didn't they also a couple of years ago do either a rams horn or desert ironwood AG ?

I took the blade out of an AG and dropped it in a Titanium handle. It now has a pocket clip and a thumb stud. The resultant knife is quite a bit lighter as well as more resistant to wear and corrosion. Because the blade is mounted with a screw set, I can clean the gunk out of the pivot if necessary. When I did the conversion, there was no other easy way to get an S30V blade.
