The set of Jungle micarta Mini-Grip scales I ordered from Cuscadi arrived today, there were some small issues with the backspacer; there wasn't a relief cut in the backspacer to allow the third clip screw, and I had to file a bit of the inside that was catching the tip of the knife and jamming it shut.
Anyway about ten minutes or so of careful filling, and the scales fit right and proper.
These scales add so much to the Mini-Grip. It feels much more solid and now it really exhibits a high quality feel, the sound of the knife is alot more pleasing as well now, no more plasticy-clicky-clack sound
The Cuscadi scales also make the knife noticeably slimmer in the pocket, and in the hand. Ergonomically they feel very comfortable with no noticeable hot spots, and the purchase you get on the knife due to the "reptilian" backspacer is great, it feels very secure in any grip.
Overall I really love these scales and I think they were a pretty good value for the price even though I had to fix the backspacer. Cuscadi is a fantastic company to deal with and I would certainly purchase from them again. Good stuff!
ETA: I will try to get some good up pics tomorrow when there's decent light
