My new DP Knives blade is a beauty! Doug has outdone himself with this one, and he's a great guy to deal with. He answered all my questions and made exactly the knife I asked for.
I just thought I'd share some pics here, then post a longer review when I've gotten to know it a little better.
The blade is 1/8" 1095 steel, with stabilized dyed green tiger maple w/red liners. It is edge quenched and triple tempered the RC should be right around 57 - 59. The pins and the lanyard tube are 1/4". The green kydex sheath, also by Doug, is .093 thick and very secure.
I love a full-sized handle on a working knife, and this handle/blade combo feels just right for a woods knife. Although this is the EDC model, I plan on using it mostly for a bushcraft blade.
