I just received a new Fenix P1 flashlight from lighthound.com.
Specs off the Fenix packaging (including 'note'):
**************
o 3-watt / 100,000-hour T bin Luxeon LED
o Current regulation circuit
o Constant brightness: 55 Lumens
o Single CR123A batter
o 2.5-hour Runtime (1:45 hours to 50% brightness)
o Twist switch
o Capable of standing up firmly on a flat surface to serve as a candle
Note: The input voltage of Fenix P1 is 0.9V~4.0V. Therefore 3.7V protected rechargeable Li-ion battery can be used for Fenix P1. Brightness can reach 75 lumens but we don't condone the use of these types of batteries and won't take responsibility for the potential risk involved.
**************
I'm constantly searching for a true pocket-size (yet bright) flashlight. I don't own a lot of flashlights -- about a dozen -- and I only own two incandescents because I just prefer LEDs. Prior to receiving the P1, a Nuwai Q3 (also a single CR123 light) has been my EDC for almost six months. However, the P1 is now my primary EDC (along with a small AAA Arc clone, also from Lighthound) and a button-cell Photon on my keyring.
The P1 is tiny - a little longer and about 50% wider than a AA battery, but it is increadibly bright with decent throw, an nice wide 'hotspot' and very good spill. The construction is solid and, when I screwed off the head, the fit and finish of the electronics seems very good.
The P1 ships with a neat little Fenix holster that can be worn on a belt by means of sewn belt loop or hung from a key ring or carabiner by means of a plastic ring. I've replaced the plastic ring with a standard split-ring. Photos of the holster and flashlight can be found here: http://www.lighthound.com/sales/fenix_p1.htm
