I hadn't gotten around to testing my new 52100 Military and this box made a perfect candidate.

Here's what I was cutting:

After cutting how ever much cardboard this is:

The blade was still able to do this after just a quick strop on my jeans:

My intuition tells me the toughness of the 52100 is helping with the stability of the edge, allowing me to make fine curls in note book paper after all of that double walled cardboard.

Just thought I'd share some pictures :)

one of my favorite militaries. so easy to keep sharp. good mini review. thanks.

Cool pictures - the nice grinds on the Spyderco knives that I own contribute to great slicing in my experience.

Cardboard can be tough on an edge too - thanks for taking time to post your pictures.

Defiantly on my list of next buys

I love the CQI changes on this version. The steel is a cool choice as well.

Thanks. It was short and impromptu, but I figured everyone likes pictures.

I can see that your dog is pooped after watching you cut all that cardboard.. :D

I love 52100, I still don't have one of those yet.

Just curious, but how many times have you sharpened that Military? Looks like quite a bit of material was removed from the base of the cutting edge.

I'm not sure, I bought this one used. After closer inspection it does look to be sharpened pretty aggressively near the heel. Not too bad tho, I didn't notice it until you mentioned it :D

Lol :D he was tired from whining incessantly for the cardboard I was cutting. He finally gave up and decided to pout by laying his head on the scraps.
