first in-hand Busse

Hi there everbody. Last week after talking with Amy at Busse Combat, I decided to order a BWM LE, and was told it would be a few weeks until it was born. This was going to be my first Busse ever. At that time I figured I might as well go for the gold.

Well after a while, or a few hours later depending on how you look at it, I was real itchin' to get a Busse to tie me over until my BWM LE showed up. So I decided to search the "for sale" adds and I found one. Liu Kang had a Christmas sale add going and down in the FFBM section I found it. Then I bought it. It was I guess owned by Banned, he stripped the finish on it and sharpened it, then Liu Kang bought it and sanded and polished it some more. To me it has that nice old time forged look to it. It also has blue and red G10 magnum slabs on it. I even got a very nice Mikey Moto sheath with it. Really nice looking.

I cant take pictures because the camera is broke. You can see it in his add. It was on page three of the sale adds as of today.

I emailed Liu and said that I got the knife today and I liked it. I also said I knew the FFBM's were thick but I wasn't expecting the sword of Conan.:eek: Ha ha ha. But what the hell, I figured I would go all the way anyways. This should tie me over until my Bushwacker is made.........For now.:D:D
 
Sounds like you scored big all the way around. I'd love to see that Bwm-Le thats going to be cool also. Congrats, :thumbup:

When he said "banned" in the for sale ad, he was referring to Ban, a forum member who used to modify Busses with outstanding satin finished and polished convex edges.

A tear always comes to my eye when I see a newbie with get their first FFBM. Enjoy! Now you can give your advise to all other newbies when they ask if they should get the FFBM or the BWM cause I'm sure you are going to be the hell out of both.
 
Talk about jumping head-first into the Kool-Aid. Congratulations and welcome to the Busse Combat family of INFImaniacs and knife beaters. A Banned FFBM and a BWM, eh? Like 'em big, do you? Forum search is not available for registered users but try a Google search for "Busse MOAB" and "Busse Dragon's Fang".

Great score! I have one "Banned" Busse, he does some awesome work.

Plus now you'll really appreciate how thin the BWM is when you get it!
 
Thanks everybody. Thanks for putting pictures up for me Liu Kang. Right now I have a very big smile as big if not bigger than the Joker's everytime I pick it up or even see pictures of it.
 
You know, you picked one heck of a first Busse, or second at that. Most people don't do that, they usually work they way up to that, so that will be hard to top! Congrats on being so manly about it and going for the gold right from the start. I didn't think I'd ever see someone that has never held a busse, go on their page, pass up the CG at a much cheaper price, and just get a LE. That's balls! Yea, you'll fit right in:)
 
Congrats and welcome to the trough! Man starting out with a FFBM thats awesome. As Liu Kang stated most start out small and work their way up. I started with an AD and just recently got into FBM's and now a variety. As the story goes ya can't just have one!;):thumbup:
