Happy New Year y'all!

We went to my Grandpa's for Christmas this year since it was going to be his first one without Grandman and we figured lots of family and little kids running around would be a good idea.:(

Anyway, along about 2:00 Christmas Day, I am in the kitchen doing up some sweet potoes for the big dinner, when one of my cousins walks in to drop off some food. I turned to get the plate and he asks "Hey, is that an Emerson?" So of course, I have to wave it out for him to see...:D

It turns out he had paid a bit too much for a QCQ-7A in Vancouver a few months before and that was his EDC. Interesting comparison between my 2001 waved 7b and his satin finish 7A. The liners are definitely thicker on his compared to mine. Not that I am complaining, mind you...

Best regards

Clinton

PS, my first set of jeans pockets are pretty much blown. Ccccatch the wave! Wheeeee!

thicker liners? maybe he didnt pay "too much" after all ;) is it a 98 phenomena or a fluke?.. curious..

I thought the same after examining his blade. I am tempted to go buy the other one and see if I can "mix and match" my waved 7b blade onto the earlier scales and liners...
