I wanted something a little different for my very first Journeyman Smith stamped knife. I just really wanted to be the Best Dressed Man around the gut pile come this bow hunting season!
A nice little Every Day Carry with some choice African Blackwood and two Mother of Pearl inlays to set it off.
Stainless steel guard and take-down assembly hardware.
This knife's been a long time comin'.

Now that is SWEET! Will you be wearing your hunting tuxedo? ;)

Hey Karl,
Nice one! But you should have shown your J.S. stamp in your montage!

I thought I might toss this up for you guys to see. I up-graded one of my Take-down assembly screws from the simple slotted type to a pinned type. This eliminates the chance of the hollow ground screw driver I always made for each knife ot slipping and possibly damaging the ahdnle material.
The Screw and tool are 416 stainless and the pins are hardened tool steel.
It also allows the screw to go flush ar even recessed.
Just somethin' else to look at!

Now that is sweet! Great job, love the flush / recessed take down!

Karl, I LOVE that knife! I LOVE everything about it!! I am loving your work, more and more!! You ARE on my list of a maker to get a knife (or knives) from. That JS knife makes my heart skip a beat!!

And that new take down is BRILLIANT!!

Hey that's cool! I was thinking that you'd actually made yourself a non-takedown until you showed pics of the new mechanism. Very nice indeed.
