I have been wanting one for a while now and am patiently waiting for my anniversary edc to arrive in march. I was able to pick up a nice JK Wharnie second hand. So excited to come home to this today! Sorry for the crappy photo.

I was told it is a Wharnie #1 (with #1 stamp)
I love it! Anyone know where to get a nice sheath? :)

Thanks for looking!

Congrats HWF!

Nice knife - I remember it but I can't remember who had it -

nice knife, don't remember it myself, must have been before my time, congrats!

that anniversary edc'll be another nice one, had one once myself, they'll make a nice pair

i'm with Myke. i remember seeing that one, and i wanted to pull the trigger. just couldn't do it around the holidays.

congrats HWF. i like it a lot.

Thanks, guys. I got it from the exchange here, so if you do a little digging you might be able to find out who it came from. I've been putting it to work a little bit and I'm really enjoying it. Mr. K, do you by chance have this pattern still or have any sheaths that would fit? It came naked and she needs some nice pants. Thanks!

No pattern, but if I know how tall the blade is (looks to be 1"?) and overall length, I can have a sheath made up for it.

The exchange is a great place to find JK's. I bought 2 JK's that were on my wishlist from the exchange in the past few months, at really good prices too.

That would be wonderful. The oal is 7.5 in and the blade is 1 in tall. I'll send you an email :).

I agree! I would rather go directly through the maker, honestly, but I couldn't wait any longer to get my hands on a JK!

Got my new sheath from John the other day, what a beauty! Excellent quality, maker and products :).

I think I was remembering the EDC Wharncliffe passaround knife, pictured here with my Kephart and Riverwoods Companion.

Wow! Nice line up! :) those are all very handsome knives ;)

Good looking knife HWF and John does a heck of a job with his pouch style leather sheaths. After you get your EDC you need to get a Hiker, one of the best all around woods-bumming blades EVER made bY John or anyone.
