Just finished this one up this morning. It is a special one for me as it is the first since I awarded the ABS Journeyman Smith at Blade this year. My favorite knife is a hunter. So here you go.
4" 5160 diff. heat treated. Fluted nickel guard, Figured African Blackwood.

Special thanks to Ed Caffrey for all the mentoring along the journey.

Very nice piece. I can see some Caffrey influence there. Congrats on the JS - well done.

Lin, It was so nice to meet you at Blade. I sure enjoyed talking with you and Bruce Barnett over breakfast saturday morning.

Very nice Bing, I really like it, and that stamp looks good. Congratulations again. Feels good doesn't it? Good looking hunter.

Very nice and classic ABS style hunter.

I say ABS style because several ABS MS smith's influence can be seen in that piece imo.

Thanks again, It sure make my head swell up with all these great comments. God bless you all

Kevin, I have studied quite a few of the MS smiths the last year. Most of which I admire their work. Hopefully after time I will be to their level. But that is for another journey:D.

And the journey never ends, Bing.
Without walking that path, one won't know all the sacrifices and "investment" that goes into achieving those JS/MS stamps.

That stamp surely looks good on that knife, Bing!
You earned it.

Gents, Thanks for all the comments.

By Karl Anderson. And the journey never ends, Bing.
