This is my first chef style knife, made from AEB-L
The knife is 3/32 steel from Alpha, and heat treated to 60-61 by paul bos HT
overall dimensions:
11.75 inches overall
7~ inch blade
4.75 inch handle, Ghost red G10 from AKS
.095 inches at the spine with a distal taper towards the tip
full flat grind with a convex edge from .008 before sharpening
I did a few cuts with this thing today and its by far the best kitchen knife I've ever used
I wish i was better at taking pictures so that i could get you guys more angles on it

Thanks guys! i like it too, a few physical blemishes i could fix if i wanted to spend a few more hours at it

And yeah its from the jade g10 thats laminated to the inside of the red, i didnt know how thick the handle should be so i kept thinning until it was comfortable with regular grip and a pinch grip

if your going to keep doing kitchen blades i made a wood guard for protecting the blade when shaping the handle. Basically two thin pieces of wood held together with tape that can slide over the blade. Quick and easy and it saves wrapping a ton of tap on the blade.

Kevin, your "dark side" statement made me thing of the goldwingers who run car tires on rear of bike. They call themself "dark side" also. These are the folks who would wear out a MC rear tire in 10K or less, but a car tire might last 20K or more. The "Run Flat" tires were most popular on rear of bike.
