First knife and letter opener pic.

Merry Christmas to all of you
and thanks to everyone on this forum for Help!!!!!!!!

Here is my first forge welded knife and letter opener (not finished yet).
Knife:
Overall L = 11”, blade L = 6” W = 1 1/8
88 layers of 1095 and 15n20 welded to 15n20 core.. RC 56-60.
letter opener:
22 layers of 1095 and 15n20 overall L = 7” blade L= 5 ½” W= 3/4
not hardened yet .
my wife is using this knife in the kitchen for 3 weeks and knife still shaving sharp , she also told me that she never touch production knife again:)

That is awsome to do that much work and get that result for a first timer.....

the above link is my first blade. I haveent gotten it to shave sharp yet but it cuts pretty well. Does a nice job on steaks!!! Mine is much more thicker wich may prevent it from being more than a camp knife but I am going to try it in the kitchen anyway........

Thanks everyone for your replies and all of the kind words about my knife:) :)
Is the handle cord wrapped? How does that work in the kitchen?
It is not good for kitchen use, I did it only for testing, so I will replace it with real handle soon.
