First knife build

Hey, first post here! So I decided to try my hand at make a knife. I started with an old USA made file (1095 I believe) I annealed it, did all the shaping and grinding, heat treat and temper, and then a light acid etch/stone wash. Scales are Oak scrap. Let me know what y’all think!

Very nice, gotta hit some yard sales and try to find some old clapped out files to try myself

That's a very good knife for your first try, it's better than some peoples 20th try honestly, my first knife was nowhere near as good as this. It's good enough to sell, you're a natural.
 
Very nice knife! File knives are a great way to get into the hobby.
 
Not bad man! I also know some other knifemakers who can’t do that after 10+ knives under their belts. Keep at it!
 
Looks good - especially the texture on the handle scales - nice job!
