I have been working on this design for quite some time now. I took a class over a weekend with Greg Medford as the teacher and he tore my original apart with issues that I had no idea even existed. So it has come a long way functionality wise. I am trying to build a tank. A tool that can be depended on why also maintaining a good sense of form. A few details...

Blade is CPM-3V at .190 thick
Handles are Ti at .135 thick

OAL - 8.58"
Handle - 5.25"
Blade length - 3.32" (measured from the foremost part of handle to blade tip)
Cutting Edge - 4.03"

What do you guys think? If you see any possible issues, let it rip. Would like to deal with those prior to putting this down on real steel if possible. The area on the blade that is above the main bevel is a relief that will be milled out.

Respectfully, that thing looks like it would make my hands bleed even with gloves on - and I have tough hands.

Haha! That's pretty good. You have to keep in mind that this is a computer drawing, so all the lines are very "sharp" looking. The edges will be chamfered, so it shouldn't be bad... Hey, at least its a tough looking knife then!

you got a graphic of it closed?

Handle kinda looks like one of those Strider things.

It does have some resemblance to the Strider. He seems to do pretty well, so I guess that could be a positive.

or not. Most likely, not.

Also respectully- Too short with too many angles to make it uncomfortable in the hand. I also agree it would make my hand bleed if i was in a crazy situation. To easy to slide up to the blade and catch yourself!

And if not for combat but you have to really grip that thing to penetrate something heavy, i do imagine my hand would hurt!

Honestly I've never understood Styders design.
