Hi everyone,

Finally received my Grizzly 2x72 today!

I had a narrow bar of .187" 1095 that wouldn't work with any of my designs, so I did my first ever grind on it.
Not the most even finish on the bevel, but I imagine once I have it heat treated I can remedy that.

OAL length is 8.1", with a 4" edge
The handle will be green canvas micarta (unless I find something else) held on with chain-ring bolts.

Let me know what you think!

**UPDATE**

Got the blade back from Paul Bos, finished it up, and made a kydex pocket sheath!

Nice blade design. Not flashy, but that's not a bad thing. A clean and simple design that works well is a lot better than a "cool" knife that looks good but can't cut hot butter lol :)

Thank you!
I have some designs drawn up that I'm itching to make, but I need wider steel stock.

Very nice knife! I love the simplicity of the design. I see a lot of "first knives" looking like Klingon blades, this is refreshing. You have good taste.

It kind of reminds me of a Kaiken. What kind of screws/pins are those? It looks like the pivot pin on a Strider...

Thanks!
They're chain-ring bolts with Torx heads on the other side.

Great job on your first knife! Nothing wrong with simple designs they tend to be more pleasing to the eye and often timed lend them selves more easily to the Fit, Form and Function rule that makes a outstanding blade.
