So I just recently got into knife making. I'm a college kid who needed a hobby so I picked up some old files and got to work. This is my first knife ever. I drew out the temper so its not file hard anymore, I took the knife to the testing lab and it measured 58 on the rockwell scale. What do you guys think? All feedback is welcome..

Very nice, especially for a first knife! The cleanest plunge lines and grind lines I have seen on a first as well. My advice is to keep the handle away from the cutting edge by a good 1/2 inch or so( give or take). This is because, if you ever baton or use the knife for things of that nature, the handle is likely to get caught on whatever it is you are working on and that is not fun.....especially if the handle breaks off ;) overall, well done. Hope to see you ' round the forums!

Wow would love to get in to making my own knives. Don't have any equipment and probably would cost too much to get into. You did an awesome job if I ever tried to make a knife I would hope it would be half as good as that one.

I like it. Nice flowing design. Looks useful and comfortable. Good job, you should do another.
