Sorry I initially posted this in the wrong sub forum, and not too surprisingly got no questions, comments, nasty remarks or interest whatsoever - not written ones anyway. I'll try to do better in the future.

6 1/4 x 1 x 1/8 1095 walnut scales - the sheath/wallet has just enough room for a lighter, ferro rod, or a little bit of plastic and cash.

Next one - no hole or choil, and I know I had some kind of thought process on pin spacing, but I sure don't remember what it was... what do you think?

Looks good sir. Looks like you put a lot of work in the handle scales, how foes she feel in your hand? How does she feel when you're cutting something tough?

I don't know - if I cut anything I might scratch it. ;)

Seriously, before I polished it for the pictures I carried and used it for a few days. It feels secure in my hand - no fear of riding up on the blade or dropping it. It's pretty good for as thin as the grip is. I'm not sure that the contouring adds enough to grip comfort to be worth while, but I don't think it hurts much either - and I like the way it looks. But put it like this - I've decided to do a simpler grip on the one I'm working on.

The biggest usability flaw for me is that the cutting edge needs to come closer to the grip. I do a little carving - "wood spirits" mostly - and that area of the blade gets a lot of use.

Overall a very good first knife.

Some comments and thoughts for the next one:
The thong hole should be a bit farther in. It is too close to the edge. Too close can cause the wood to break out.
The choil should be bisected by the plunge, not after it. Add the choil after the plunge and bevels are finished so it is exact.
The hole in the blade....well, you already know....it serves no purpose besides a place to break.
The handle shaping is not needed or really desired. A basic ovoid shape cross section will work as well or better.
The finger groove on the handle may be a tad too deep. Start simpler and deepen only as much as is needed to get a comfortable grip. Try and avoid extreme changes of handle thickness as this one has.

I like it! Doesn't seem to have the standard fixed blade look going on.

Just my 2 cents ... but what the hell do I know? I got 2 hands full of thumbs!
