looks alright...give the technical specs of your custom...what is it's primary purpose: kitchen, hunting, etc....

The blade came of an old knife that i polished up.
The wood is acaia? from scraps in my shed.
Primary purpose was to practice making a knife to see if it will be worth my time spending money on a kit or nice wood to get started. It will probably just hang around the house for general usage.

I really like it. Simple, clean and useful. I love wooden handles as they lend a nice rustic vibe. FFG is always nice, especially with a good belly on the blade. The deep choil and nice polish makes this a very nice piece.

What type of steel is the blade? Is it convexed?

If i had to guess the blade is 440c. flat ground
The handle is actually an interesting story. I thought it looked too plain so i took a small butane torch to it to add the color and sanded it some to make it old looking.

Great job m! Anyone would be proud to own a fine life like that. Especially since you will probably be a famous knifemaker someday. :) (What lint? I don't see no steenken lint!)
